Book quickly: these are Michelin’s new Bib Gourmand restaurants for 2022

Michelin has announced the new Dutch restaurants receiving a Bib Gourmand in 2022. At these restaurants, you get just shy of Michelin-level dining, but it’s still super good. Put them on your bucket list right away.

When it comes to cuisine, the Michelin Guide has two types of distinctions. The well-known and highly coveted Michelin stars stand for exceptional quality in the kitchen. Below that level are the Bib Gourmands.
Bib Gourmands
The Bib Gourmands — derived from Bibendum, the name of the famous Michelin Man — have been part of the Michelin Guide since 1955. So it is not a star, but — to quote the guide itself: ‘certainly not a consolation prize either’. Bib Gourmands are awarded to restaurants that offer high quality at a reasonable price.
New Bib Gourmands
Michelin had already announced via Twitter which restaurants were included in the 2022 selection with a Bib Gourmand. Yesterday (Sunday, May 9), the final name was announced. And here is the new list:
- Bergpaviljoen – Amersfoort
- De Grote Frederik Bistro – Groningen
- Bistro Lof (Parc Broekhuizen) – Leersum
- Domenica – Amsterdam
- Basaal – The Hague
- Restaurant Nova – Bergschenhoek
- Blauw – Utrecht
- Garden Bistro Oriole – Amsterdam
- Nieuwe Diekhuus – Terwolde
- Bistro Two – Roermond
- De Basiliek – The Hague
- Bistro Aragosta – Leeuwarden
- Tabkeaw – Maastricht
- Groenewoud – Nijmegen
- Waers – Roermond
The new Michelin stars and the Green Michelin Stars will be announced on Monday, May 30.
