Bowmore ARC-52: one of the oldest Bowmore whiskies in a stunning Aston Martin design
Earlier this year, lovers of fast cars and whisky could already indulge with the launch of Bowmore Masters ‘Selection; the first single malt whisky from whisky brand Bowmore and British sports car brand Aston Martin. With ARC-52, a new showpiece has been added. One with a price tag of 80,000 euros, that is.

But honestly, then you really do have something very beautiful—and delicious!—in your hands. Bowmore ARC-52 is a stunning example of decanter design by Aston Martin, containing one of the oldest Bowmore whiskies ever. Scottish single malts such as Bowmore (single malt means that the whisky comes from a single distillery) are known as the best whiskies in the world, and this whisky is also 52 years old.
For the true whisky connoisseur: the whisky was matured in two exact parts; 50% in American Oak Hogshead and 50% in European Oak Butt. We were allowed to taste the result in select company; a few drops from a pipette, while wearing a white glove. Some of the flavours and aromas we encountered: exotic fruit, praline and butterscotch, mint and eucalyptus, and of course tobacco and peat.
Limited edition
The limited-edition Bowmore ARC-52 (so limited that only 100 bottles are available worldwide, and just 1 bottle in the Netherlands) costs €80,000. A little above your budget? Then go for a 12- or 15-year-old Bowmore. You can simply order those online at Gall&Gall.
