Brilliant: you can now buy a Churro Maker at Lidl

Sometimes I pop into a Lidl shop to see what gems are on offer this time. My goodness, it’s always a party in that store. The latest addition: a Churro Maker. Really one of those gadgets you didn’t know you wanted until you have one. Because fresh churros: so delicious!

Those crispy, golden-brown churros with sugar and cinnamon, dipped in warm chocolate milk… Irresistible! I always eat churros when I’m in Spain, but now I can also enjoy them at home (imagining very intensely that I’m in Spain — that’s still the case).
By the way, did you know that churros aren’t actually Spanish at all? They originally come from China; the Chinese breakfast dish youtiao is the predecessor of churros. They are deep-fried strips of dough, more savoury than sweet. They made their way to Spain via Portugal and now, if you’re quick, into your own kitchen.
Making churros
You can order the Churro Maker online, and tadaaaaa: with this offer, it’s not 39.99 euros, but 19.99 euros. What are you waiting for? Buy one quickly and get started! We also sometimes make churros in the Airfryer, using this churros recipe, which you can also use in the Churro Maker. Enjoy!
