Burger King offers one million for the best new Whopper creation
Have you always wanted to win a million? Then this might just be your chance, because Burger King has set up a bizarre competition where you can win one million dollars. Yep, really a substantial amount, but then you do have to come up with the One Million Dollar Idea: they’re looking for a new Whopper.
It’s not that the famous Whopper is disappearing from the menu; the challenge is to come up with ingredients that would make the Whopper even better.

It seems to me that plenty of people will have inspiration for this, so I’m guessing entries for the Million Dollar Whopper Contest will come pouring in. But, honestly: how many ingredients and combinations are there? I wouldn’t be surprised if the eventual winning entry appears several times. But anyway, that’s getting ahead of ourselves; the competition has only just begun.
You can choose up to 8 ingredients
The competition runs until March 17, 2024, and with each entry you can choose up to eight ingredients that you think will take the Whopper to the next level. You can enter via this site, although there is one ‘but’ for us: you’ll need to use a VPN. Still, that’s a small effort if you might get a million in return…
Once you’ve added your eight ingredients, you’ll see a preview of what your burger would look like, created by AI. You’ll then also get your own jingle (also made by AI), which you can share yourself on social media to increase your chances. In the end, three finalists will be selected and invited to the Miami headquarters to bring their burger to life and see whether those ingredients really work as well as they imagined.
And the eventual winner will walk away with one million dollars… Not bad.
There are plenty of combinations possible
Of course, I said above that I’m guessing there will be many duplicate entries, but perhaps that won’t be the case; there are 200,000 possible combinations with the ingredients currently available at Burger King. I think I’ll give it a try and submit my One Million Dollar Idea…
