Creative: Restaurant Week comes with a special at-home edition

Fun, Restaurant Week! Packed restaurants, discovering new places with friends, special menus… Uh, not right now. Restaurant Week has been cancelled, but fortunately Diningcity has come up with an alternative: a Restaurant Week at Home.

This Restaurant Week, you’ll dine at your own kitchen table. Order a three-course meal from your favourite restaurant – or from that new place you’ve been curious about – and the food will come to you. You can collect the food or have it delivered, pay with a Tikkie or by card and voilà, the enjoyment can begin.

Long week

Restaurant Week at Home runs slightly longer than a week, namely until 30 April. Perfect, because that gives you time to try all the restaurants in the area. The participating restaurants are creating special three-course menus for Restaurant Week, so you’ll really get something special on your plate.

Just heat it up

Via the Restaurant Week at Home website, you can see which restaurants are participating and for which days you can make a reservation. Most restaurants serve a cold starter; you just need to heat up the main course yourself. In the mood for pork belly glazed with maple syrup, with potato gratin from Restaurant Ace? Fresh oysters from Fyrre Seafood Bar? Or Nomads’ culinary journey around the world? Order together with friends, turn on that Houseparty app and play the worst waiter ever: ‘Are you familiar with our concept?’ and: ‘Was everything to your satisfaction?’ – crouching is optional.
