Top chefs with a generous dose of creativity create the most insane dishes that we can only dream of. Some chefs, on the other hand, take their creativity a little too far (what did you call your restaurant?!) and serve amuse-bouches, starters and desserts in the most outrageous ways. Watch and learn how not to do it.
The American website We Want Plates collects photos of dishes that are presented in bizarre ways, and tries to figure out what on earth inspired the chef to serve a langoustine on an old-school telephone, ramen from a hollowed-out watermelon or a cocktail glass filled with real (!) stones. Every single one is a disaster, but secretly we love it – as long as we aren’t served food like that ourselves.
