Delicious! The first Spritz terrace in the Netherlands has opened
The drink of this summer is the Spritz. Whether you prefer one with Aperol or with Limoncello; it doesn’t matter because a Spritz is always delicious! And where better to enjoy such a delicious cocktail than at the first Spritz terrace in the Netherlands?
It’s so wonderful; strolling through the city and seeing people on terraces again, seeing busy beach clubs along the coast again, and people in restaurants and at events. The new pop-up terrace Café Bloesem is also one of the places where we want to get a table as soon as possible. Because at this Spritz terrace, you don’t order glasses of Spritz, but Spritz by the pitcher. Ideal for thirsty Spritz lovers (me, yes)!
Café (Orange)Bloesem
The special pop-up Spritz terrace was conceived by hospitality gurus Maarten, Sunny and Jamie, founders of Kopstootbar, de Tulp, Sammie Sangria and Jajem Jenever. Along the water on Leidsekade in Amsterdam, Café Bloesem’s terrace is taking shape, where you can order three types of Spritz by the pitcher all summer long. There’s the Bloesem variety with JAJEM Oranjebloesem, cava & sparkling water, the Lemon Spritz with JAJEM Citroentje, cava & sparkling water, and the popular Pornstar with vodka, passion fruit and vanilla sugar.
Orange summer
The men also came up with the JAJEM Oranjebloesem used to make the Spritzes themselves, together with The Stillery. JAJEM Oranjebloesem is a smooth orange bitter liqueur with malt wine, elderflower, orange blossom and little oranges.
In addition to the terrace, silent discos, live performances and movie nights will soon be organised. Starting next Monday, football fans can also watch the European Championship matches of the Dutch national team on a big screen with, how could it be otherwise, a pitcher of orange Spritz in hand!
