Restaurant for dogs and their owners
Dining out with your dog—when can you actually do that? Almost never, right? Even though dining together is quite a fun idea. Dog owners from all over the Netherlands are welcome for a fully catered dinner with their four-legged friend at the temporary Butternut Bistro restaurant in Amsterdam.
Butternut Bistro
At the special pop-up restaurant, you and your dog will be served exactly the same dish. And no, don’t worry that you’ll be served a bowl of dog kibble or some fake meat made from grains. The dinner has been created and prepared by chef Graeme using the ingredients also found in Butternut Box’s fresh meals.
If you’re not familiar with Butternut Box yet: the founders of the pop-up restaurant are a startup from England. Kev & Dave, two friends, started the company in 2016 after seeing the positive effects of homemade dog food on Dave’s dog Rudie. They want other dogs to enjoy that too, so they make fresh meals for dogs every day, using ingredients such as chicken, beef or fish and vegetables. Without preservatives or artificial colours, flavours or fragrances. Tasty and healthy, in other words.
