Dirk named the best supermarket in our country
It’s party time for Dirk! No, not for your neighbor, colleague or cousin Dirk, but for supermarket chain Dirk van den Broek. The supermarket chain has been named the best nationwide supermarket.
This is according to research by SupermarktKOMPAS. It conducts large-scale, independent research among regular customers of Dutch supermarket chains.
Satisfied regular customers
Every supermarket has its own formula, with which it tries to bind as many regular customers as possible. SupermarktKOMPAS researches and compares the formulas of different supermarkets. For example, it looks at the most important reasons for visiting, areas for improvement and biggest compliments, as well as the possibility of self-checkout, loyalty cards and savings promotions. Based on the answers from regular customers, it creates a compass. This gives supermarkets direction on how they are doing in the supermarket world.
Dirk’s price image
So Dirk came out on top. The supermarket scores highest on price image. That was to be expected: Dirk has long been known as one of the cheapest supermarkets. Just last year, they lowered the prices of hundreds of everyday groceries. They also score well on the overall quality of the fresh-food department and the freshness of their products. Those ”perform better than the market average,’’ Dirk says on their website.
Body cams
The fact that Dirk’s regular customers are so satisfied with their supermarket is of course good news. But in some ways, it is also remarkable. Some time ago, it emerged that Dirk employees would be the first supermarket staff to wear body cams, because of threatening situations involving customers. Super sad, of course. So it’s especially nice for Dirk that they can now hang up the bunting. Congratulations, Dirk!
