Dirty Drinks Are a Hit, and Super Easy to Make

A dirty drink is a drink that you’ve made a little (deliciously) ‘dirty’ by adding something else to it. A Dirty Martini, for example, is a martini with some olive brine added—at least if the olives are in water, not oil. And you can make delicious dirties with coffee too!

You could call it a dirty coffee, but actually it’s the other way around: a Dirty Chai Latte is a chai latte with an espresso poured into it. Here are a few other inspiring examples, especially for when the weather gets nice:
The espresso tonic
By now a real classic, and one that goes down well on hot summer days. For bitter lovers, this is a treat, but if you’d prefer something a little less intense, the next drink might be a better idea…
The dirty ginger beer
Having a bottle or a few cans of ginger beer at home is always a good idea, because what is your weekend without a Dark & Stormy cocktail, anyway? But pouring an espresso into your glass of ginger beer is apparently a thing too! I’m going to try this one, promise.
The dirty OJ
Dirty orange juice is familiar to many baristas: a glass of fresh orange juice with ice cubes and a shot of espresso in it. For when you don’t have time to drink two drinks in a row? Or simply because you really love the combination of orange and coffee. You do you!
