Do it! You can now order an AIX Rosé picnic at Andaz and it’s absolutely delicious

andaz aix picnic

A sun-drenched picnic with a crisp rosé and the most delicious bites: that’s what an ideal Sunday looks like to me. Even better when someone else has prepared those bites, preferably someone who can cook really well. At the Andaz hotel, they understand that better than anyone, because they’ve just launched a wonderful initiative: the Andaz Rosé Picnic AIXperience. And you’ll definitely want to book it!

AIX rosé is one of my favorite summer wines. The rosé with the distinctive label comes from Aix-en-Provence in France, but it isn’t made there by a Frenchman—it’s made by Dutchman Eric Kurver. From sunny France, he recently presented the AIX vintage 2020. Crisp, crystal-clear and wonderfully easy to drink (what am I saying: dangerously easy to drink!). In short, an ideal picnic wine.

The bites, prepared in the kitchen of Andaz restaurant Bluespoon, are neatly packed in leak-proof containers inside a large, practical Andaz bag (which can easily also carry a picnic blanket, glasses and Twister – classic!). And those bites are truly divine. A selection of what’s inside: Cantaloupe melon & Parma ham, D.O.C burrata & heirloom tomatoes, various cheeses with homemade lavender honey, vitello tonnato and charcuterie. Washed down with… a bottle of AIX, of course!

Book quickly, then

A well-filled picnic box with AIX rosé and bites costs €45 per person and can be ordered daily (for 2 people). For information about ordering and collection, take a look at this Andaz link. À votre santé!

Just arrange it on a beautiful plate and then… enjoy! This is so delicious!
