Drinks Snacks Extra

A drinks board full of cheese and charcuterie with a glass of wine is what we consider the best start to the weekend. Sometimes you want something different from your standard favorites, or to go all out. These drinks snacks are perfect for those moments.

Make your own cheese straws
Cheese straws from a packet are delicious. Homemade cheese straws with Parmesan are even more delicious.
Deviled eggs
Another classic is the deviled egg. This recipe provides a good base, and you can take the toppings in all kinds of directions.

Fried fish
Delicious with a good squeeze of lemon juice and dill mayonnaise. For this recipe, you can use small fish such as whitebait or fresh anchovies.
Popcorn
Salted popcorn at the movies is a favorite, but for drinks you can easily give popped corn a fancy makeover. Bacon jalapeño, for example, or beurre noisette and lemon. Click here for four delicious suggestions.

Sausage rolls
Incredibly old-school, and therefore perhaps even more delicious. These will be on the table within half an hour, delicious with a generous smear of mustard.
Barbecued Brie
Warm cheese from the barbecue with nuts, honey and grapes. Add some crusty bread and start dipping. If you don’t have a barbecue, you can also heat the cheese in the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degrees.

Garlic bread
We’re more than happy to put up with garlic breath for this steaming bread with plenty of butter and garlic.
Oysters
They immediately give drinks a chic feel. Delicious with just lemon and pepper, but definitely try grilled oysters with chipotle tarragon butter and gremolata.
