Drive us crazy: you can buy Toblerone lava cakes at Lidl
The happiness brought by the supermarket lava cakes doesn’t stop. The boxes of lava cakes with Baileys haven’t even left the freezer yet, and there’s already a new one to buy. This time filled with Toblerone; drive us crazy!
A lava cake with any kind of gooey center is always a good idea as far as I’m concerned. It’s easy, delicious and 100 percent guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser (I speak from experience). After all, nobody says no to a warm chocolate cake from the oven with a center that flows out like liquid gold. And certainly not when that also happens to be melted Toblerone chocolate.
Melted Swiss chocolate
The lava cake is not only filled with Toblerone but also covered in the chocolate. The delicious thing about this cake is that you can really taste the crunchy pieces, just as you’re used to from the Swiss triangular chocolate. Plus, you don’t have to deal with melting chocolate au bain-marie or half-baked cakes. Put the lava cakes in the oven for a few minutes, whip the cream (which becomes silky smooth with this tip) and you’re done. The cakes will be temporarily available at Lidl from Thursday, April 8. You pay just €2.50 for two Toblerone lava cakes, and you’ll find them in the freezer section!
