Easy task: how to clean your gas stove very easily

No one wants to spend hours scrubbing a caked-on gas stove after a long day at work or an elaborate 6-course dinner. Still, the job is often done faster than you might think, especially with this step-by-step plan!

With our tips on how to get your microwave, fridge, wine glasses, extractor hood or dirty baking tray sparkling clean again, cleaning really is a breeze. Usually, you don’t even need expensive cleaning products—you can also do the job perfectly well with these kitchen ingredients. This time, all you need is cleaning soda, cleaning vinegar, dish soap, a cloth and a scouring sponge.
Here’s how to do it
First, put the pan supports in the dishwasher (yes, you can!). If you don’t have a dishwasher, you can place them in a bowl of hot water and dish soap, where you’ll also soak the burner caps. The black tops can go in a separate bowl with some cleaning soda. Above all, don’t put the aluminium parts in with them, as the soda can make them look somewhat dull.
Next, sprinkle a few spoonfuls of soda around the burners on the brown, caked-on spots. Spray some cleaning vinegar over them. You’ll see the mixture start to fizz; let it soak in for a little while. In the meantime, scrub the burners clean with a sponge and leave them to dry on a tea towel. Then scrub away the brown residue on the stove with a (scratch-free!) sponge and wipe clean with a damp cloth. You can then clean the rest of the stove with kitchen degreaser or simply with dish soap. Put everything back in its place—and hello, sparkling-clean gas stove!
