FANTASTIC: Grandma (82) asks for more wine with giant poster
Some people stock up on toilet paper, others on flour. And for yet others, rice is flying off the shelves. Still, we feel more connected to Kelly Muller’s mother. She only really wants one thing: more wine.
“I went to my 82-year-old mother Annette’s house to see how she was doing and whether she needed anything else,” Kelly writes on Facebook. She burst out laughing when she saw that her grandma was already waiting for her by the window, holding a gigantic poster in one hand with the words ‘Need more wine’, and an empty bottle in the other.
All the same
“Red? White?” Kelly asked; Annette didn’t mind. “They all taste the same,” was her answer.
The Facebook post quickly went viral. Because really, who doesn’t see themselves in Annette? “Necessities”, “This is the truth”, “I need a sign like that too”, were some of the reactions to the post.
Stockpile
By now, Annette has been provided with a generous supply. Kelly later shared a photo of her mother with an uncorked bottle. “As happy as a child.”
