Workout with wine bottles: bye-bye, gym!

With a dwindling supply of Chipito’s and a shrinking mountain of comfort chocolate, the guilt is starting to nibble away at us: shouldn’t we be exercising? But yes, the gym is closed. Luckily: fit girl April to the rescue! For her wine workout, you don’t need complicated fitness equipment, just two (full!) wine bottles.

April Storey is a fit girl who deals with challenges as a young mother quite creatively. The gym? She usually doesn’t have time for it, so she simply does her fitness exercises at home. And for that, she uses things that happen to be lying around the house, such as her youngest child’s buggy, or… wine bottles. She puts videos of her workouts on YouTube, so everyone in corona quarantine can now benefit from them.
Wine as a bonus
In her Wine Workouts, she shows which exercises you can do with wine bottles as weights. Because a full bottle of merlot is just as good as a light dumbbell, with one bonus: after the workout, you can still put it to good use. Did you opt for bag-in-box wine during these crisis times? No problem, because April uses one for her push-ups.
Workout with toilet rolls
Fitness guru Arie Boomsma also reassures us: working out at home in times of crisis is perfectly possible. He posts his training videos on Videoland and promises exercises using a tea towel or a stack of toilet rolls as equipment. A new workout from Arie goes online every working day.
