For enthusiasts: Heinz Tomato Ketchup chocolates

Heinz ketchup chocolade

It’s that time of the year again… Valentine’s Day is here again, and brands are pulling out all the stops to win consumers’ hearts. FEBO launched a bitterbal filled with chocolate, to be eaten in its romantic one-day restaurant Maison FEBO, and Heinz is also making a sweet foray into chocolate.

Heinz is always up for a bit of fun. Remember the collaboration with singer Ed Sheeran? The Tomato Edchup was even served in a Michelin-star-worthy menu. That whetted the appetite for more, and now there is the madcap collab with luxury department store Fortnum & Mason.

Valenheinz Day

And that could be good news for die-hard chocolate lovers with an adventurous streak. Because especially for Valentine’s Day, or rather: ‘Valenheinz Day’, Heinz and Fortnum & Mason have combined their expertise and created nine chocolates that you can share with your loved one. The chocolates are handmade and packaged in a—fie fie!—heart-shaped box.

Next level: Heinz tomato chocolates

Inside is a selection of milk, white and dark chocolate truffles filled with a chocolate and Heinz Tomato Ketchup ganache. The makers call the flavors an ‘exciting combination’, because ‘the irresistible tomato flavor of Heinz Tomato Ketchup’ bursts through the ganache ‘and creates a sweet aftertaste.’ Fancy some? You can buy them online (for almost 20 pounds) or win them via Heinz’s social media.
