Guillaume de Beer’s 7 favorite hotspots

Chef Guillaume de Beer doesn’t eat out as much as he used to, but he still has a meal out once every two weeks. In collaboration with Tabasco®, FavorFlav found out where he most likes to sit down for a meal. These are Guillaume’s 7 favorite restaurants in Amsterdam.

Remouillage
“The chef does everything himself, even the service. Okay, he lets others do the cooking, but they are his recipes. Lots of beautiful fermented things. You can’t eat like this anywhere else in Amsterdam.”
Coba Taqueria
“Although I’ve never been to Mexico, this seems—in my eyes—the most like a real Mexican restaurant.”
BAK
“I think BAK is fantastic. They have a creative kitchen, great flavors and beautiful wines.”
Rotisserie
“Delicious burgers, fantastically good chicken, nicely American. Top-notch.”
212
“Besides being my former chef, the cuisine is simply world-class: innovative dishes with beautiful, classic flavors.”
RIJKS
“Joris’ own cuisine is top-notch, but especially his collaborations with international guest chefs are really cool. That way, you get the chance to taste the cuisines of top chefs from, for example, Latin America, right here in Amsterdam.”
Entrepot
“Fantastic vegetable dishes, a creative chef (Arvid) and a super host (Xander).”
