HEMA launches orange tompouce beer with Lowlander
After the resounding success of last year’s famous tompouce beer, HEMA and Lowlander are coming to King’s Day this year with a new variant: the Tompouce I.P.A.
Our number-one favourite quintessentially Dutch pastry is without a doubt the tompouce. In its classic form or with a strawberry twist. From HEMA or from this supermarket, the tompouce is always a winner. (Have you already tried the ‘spoonable tompouce’ from Albert Heijn?).
And in beer form? Of course—we’re happy about that too.
Orange tompouce
HEMA previously joined forces with brewer Lowlander to create a unique Tompouce Ale, and they hope to match that success with the new drink. The Tompouce I.P.A. is a juicy milkshake I.P.A. with a refreshing hint of orange, a subtle touch of vanilla and a zesty finish.
How it gets its surprising flavour
India Pale Ale (I.P.A.) may well be the most popular beer style of the moment. Characteristics: heavily hopped, bitter and refreshing, with typical aromas of cedar, citrus and tropical fruit. The botanically brewed Tompouce I.P.A. (5%) contains vanilla and is brewed using a residual stream of orange peels.
Curious about the flavour explosion of this limited-edition orange Tompouce I.P.A.? From 11 April 2022, you can find this beer in almost all HEMA stores in the Netherlands and online at HEMA.nl. The beer costs €2.50 each.
And during King’s Day, in honour of Willem-Alexander’s 55th birthday, it will also be available at 55 hospitality venues.
