Hilarious: Australia Has a Karen’s Diner

For a few years now, the name Karen has really developed quite a bad reputation. Poor Karens all over the world probably aren’t very happy about this, but I’m afraid there’s no getting rid of it anymore. What is a Karen? Usually a middle-aged woman with an I-want-to-speak-to-the-manager-haircut, also known here as the Short Spicy Haircut.

In addition, this woman is a particularly unpleasant person, always angry and always complaining about something. You would think that these qualities and working in food service don’t exactly go together… But think again. In Australia, it’s a huge hit, with locations in Melbourne and Sydney. Welcome to Karen’s Diner.

And of course, it was bound to become a huge hit on TikTok. And I have to admit: their TikToks are genuinely a delight to watch. But be sure to look up the hashtags too, because many people take their unsuspecting parents there. Those parents are then treated so incredibly rudely by the staff (because yes, everyone there is a Karen) that it leads to hilarious situations.
