Thirsty tales
How to make the tastiest sangria slushies

If there’s one drink I consider to be the perfect summer drink, it’s sangria. Red, white or rosé sangria made the classic way or as lemonade; I honestly don’t really care how I drink my sangria, because it’s guaranteed to be delicious either way. And yes, that includes these sangria slushies.

Imagine being dehydrated on a scorching hot summer day, looking for something refreshing, and the only thing you have at home is a bottle of red wine. I can imagine that when it’s 24 degrees, you’re not exactly looking forward to a glass of full-bodied red wine. But what do you do with it? Make a slushie!
How to make the sangria slushies
- Pour the red wine into an ice cube tray and place it in the freezer until the cubes are frozen.
- Put the cubes in a blender together with the Licor 43, orange juice and honey, and blend until smooth.
- Pour the slushie into a glass, garnish with a slice of orange and cheers!
