Ever since I could talk, I’ve been asking questions. Good questions, stupid questions (because yes, they definitely do exist), strange questions and useful questions. I do the same in this series. Ask questions. To (star) chefs. A different one every week. Not a different chef, but a different question. This week: what’s your favorite food chain?
Schilo van Coevorden (Taiko): “I have two. First of all, Krispy Kreme doughnuts—that’s truly the university of doughnuts. Unfortunately, it isn’t in the Netherlands, although that may be for the best, because otherwise I’d be another hundred kilos heavier. Number two is KFC, one of those buckets… delicious. I also love the combination with the corn and coleslaw. I’m not a fan of those burgers.”
Jacob Jan Boerma (De Leest ***): “I don’t have one. I rarely go to them either; every now and then I let myself be persuaded by friends or colleagues who want to go, but then I have a hard time stepping inside.”
Pascal Jalhay: “Halal Guys—terribly delicious, simple and authentic. You can find them all over New York. Pret a Manger too; an original grab-and-go.”

Soenil Bahadoer (De Lindehof **): “No idea”
