Indian Food at the Chinese Restaurant

Residents of Amsterdam-West have been mourning the disappearance of Golden Pauw for some time now. The Chinese restaurant served Westernized Chinese food as one of the best in the city. At the spot where you used to order your babi pangang, you can now go for your Indian curries.

The restaurant already looked wonderfully kitschy Chinese, and owner Waldy Brewster has taken it up another notch. There is no shortage of red lanterns and golden accents at Redbone, as the restaurant is now called. The food, on the other hand? Anything but Chinese—you eat exclusively Indian food there.
Don’t judge a book by its cover
It may sound a little confusing, but we have confidence in this newly opened establishment. Waldy also owns the popular Golden Brown on J.P. Heijenstraat. It looks like a brown café, but the Thai food there is excellent. According to him, the interior does not always have to match the menu. Don’t judge a book by its cover, as they say.
Reservations
