INDO FOOD: the new cooking show by chefs Job and Perry

Job en Perry

Chefs Job and Perry, known from 24Kitchen and with a loyal fan base, are starting a new show on the channel: INDO FOOD. The comedic cooking duo dives into the culture and recipes of Indonesian cuisine with their trademark Rotterdam humor.

Perry is a belanda (Dutchman), but he does cook Indonesian dishes in his Rotterdam toko, and Job has a Moluccan grandfather. Neither of them grew up with Indonesian food, but making this program has given them a warm connection with this community and its unbelievably delicious food.

Rendang supreme

In the first episode, the duo makes a typical, spicy rendang together with the iconic Tante Annie from Heerhugowaard. This meat dish has such a rich tradition, with its own techniques (and such an endlessly long list of ingredients), that learning its basics made a deep impression on the guys.

A warm welcome

Perry says he loved seeing how much it meant to Job that they were welcomed so warmly into the sometimes rather closed Moluccan community. Yes, Job does have a Moluccan grandfather, but not much of that culture filtered into his otherwise Rotterdam upbringing. Together, they were able to immerse themselves completely in the Indonesian community in the Netherlands, and in their inimitable way they share their experiences and, of course, those fantastic recipes.
