Because yes, we’ve got another gem on our hands. This Tammy claims she has discovered why steak tastes absolutely delicious in a restaurant, while your steak at home is, at best, meh. Read on and shudder.
‘Restaurants don’t want you to know this, but this is the secret to cooking a steak at home that’s just as delicious as the ones they make in a restaurant kitchen,’ says Tammy Louise in her TikTok video. Great, a hack for cooking the perfect steak—we love that. All cooking hacks, actually. Because there are always tips among them that make you think: handy, handy. But Tammy’s secret is as unbelievable as it is ridiculous. Because she uses butter. Not a knob, or even a generous lump, but an entire packet.
No meat in sight
Of course, everything tastes better with butter. The three secrets of classic French cuisine: butter, butter and butter. But even then, you can have too much of a good thing. Because this is what Tammy does: she coats the steak in such a thick layer of butter that you can’t see any meat anymore. Then she covers it with a packet of taco seasoning (?) and fries the steak in a frying pan over low heat.

Bobbing steak
