Insight tips for (aspiring) food writers

Have you always secretly dreamed of learning to write about food and drink professionally or as a hobby? Then now is your chance to improve your writing skills.

None other than renowned culinary journalist Onno Kleyn (including de Volkskrant and author of the reference work De Grote Kleyn) is giving an exclusive workshop for a select group. You may also know Onno from the Academie Culinair Schrijven, where he teaches (online) courses on writing about wine and food, among other subjects.
Inspiration
His latest workshop is Inspiration & Research. How do you keep coming up with new subjects and angles? Naturally, imagination is important. But a lot of inspiration comes from research. According to him, articles become considerably better through thorough research combined with free association.
Participants
This exclusive workshop is limited to a maximum of seven participants. Onno will show you how he comes up with his subjects, how he works and evaluates sources. You will watch in real time on a large screen as he works on his computer. With plenty of tips and tricks, including better ways to search the internet. And, of course, you will also get to work yourself right away under his guidance.
Date: Tuesday, 12 November 2019
Duration: 1 day, from 10 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m.
Location: At Onno’s home in Koog aan de Zaan.
Cost: 195 euros including VAT, including food & drinks
