On Saturday, May 3, 2025, Amsterdam restaurant Rijsel will transform into a haven for ramen lovers. During the very first Ramen Legends Night, four iconic ramen chefs, including Netflix star Ivan Orkin, will cook together for a small audience.
World first: Ramen Legends Night in Amsterdam
As a ramen fan, you won’t want to miss this; it’s a unique opportunity to see four world-famous ramen chefs in action. They will serve their signature ramen bowls, allowing you to taste four iconic ramen styles in a single evening. Taking center stage: Sun Noodle’s noodles, the best noodles in the world. The line-up: four world-famous ramen chefs
Ivan Orkin – Ivan Ramen, New York City
Known from Netflix’s Chef’s Table, Ivan Orkin is bringing his famous Shio Yuzu Ramen to Amsterdam. A fresh, cold ramen with local fish, combining Western finesse and Japanese techniques.
Shigemi Kawahara – IPPUDO, Tokyo
The “Ramen King” and founder of the global ramen empire IPPUDO will serve his legendary Akamaru Tonkotsu Ramen. A creamy classic with a modern twist.
Kenji Chiba – Chibakiya, Tokyo
The creator of the soft-boiled ramen topping egg is bringing his OG Classic Shoyu Ramen. A master of balance and tradition, and an icon of Japan’s ramen scene.
Luca Catalfamo – Casa Ramen, Milan
This European ramen pioneer will surprise guests with his Ginger Mazesoba, a bold, noodle-rich creation without broth – modern, exciting, Italian-Japanese fusion.
