Johma launches hot wing salad and the reactions are anything but mild

Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram sensation @snackspert, ate his first frikandel as a baby, hates vlammetjes, has eaten at least 1,500 burgers in his life, suspects that there is more mayonnaise in his body than blood, and shares his best and worst snack reviews every other week on FavorFlav. This week: disgusting hot wing salad and, thank goodness, two delicious sandwiches as well.

Johma hot wing salad

Shall we agree from today onwards that those ready-made salads with weird flavors simply aren’t allowed to participate in society anymore? That when the manufacturer delivers them, a municipal enforcement officer walks up to the supplier and says, “No, sorry, this one is no longer allowed to participate.” Because Johma’s hot wing salad (they make perfectly fine NORMAL salads otherwise, by the way) is seriously the foulest thing I’ve eaten in months. Have you ever eaten a bottle of mayonnaise, thrown it up, and then put it back in your mouth? Congratulations, you’re now somewhere near this flavor. And yes, I’m exaggerating, I know, but I simply found it disgusting. It is indeed a spicy salad, which earns it that one star, but you really need to have a good reason if you want to eat this. Family birthday? Have this for breakfast. Guaranteed success. ⭐️

Nduja sandwich with grilled vegetables and porchetta sandwich from Spaghetteria, Amsterdam
Want to act a little hip but don’t know how? Go to Spaghetteria, hold a glass of wine, have someone take a photo of you, and post it on Instagram with the caption “use HEERLIEDEPEERLIE10 for 10% off this random jewelry line,” and you’ll fit right in! But jokes aside, Spaghetteria has by now become a household name in the Netherlands, but fortunately plenty of new things are happening around this chain. For example, on JP Heijestraat in Amsterdam there is now a lunch spot, Spaghetteria Caffè, where you can get sandwiches, as if they were being spoken into your mouth by an Italian. Alora. The first sandwich is the nduja with grilled vegetables. In my opinion, the sandwich is far too hard, allowing the oral surgeon to start billing by the hour again. The nduja is good, and the grilled vegetables have been cooked slowly for a long time, so they are still pleasantly tender. Simply delicious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ½

But the highlight is the porchetta sandwich, in other words, roasted suckling pig. That meat is tender—unbelievably so. And then there’s some sage mayonnaise on top. It doesn’t have to be complicated; as long as you execute it perfectly, it’s already incredible. As I type this, I want it again. Unbelievable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
