Kids Take Airfryer to School for Snacks and Teachers Are Not Amused
My God, I really get anxiety attacks again when I think about secondary school. And especially the times you had to be there. I was always late, which meant having to come and sweep at 08:00 the next day… These kids handled it a little differently—and it’s hilarious.
Melanchthon Schiebroek school makes the kids come in at 7:30 when they’ve been late. Be there at 7:30, and I can understand skipping breakfast at home. But these days we all think in solutions rather than problems, so why not simply bring that breakfast to school?
Haute Friture at Secondary School
A number of students had to take that 7:30 shift and, coincidentally, they also happened to be frikandel lovers… So why not fry them! How? Very simple: one student simply brought an Airfryer to school. HAHA. Surely these students must have been treated like heroes that day? Frying snacks in the morning (and hey, in a healthy way too!). If I had still been in secondary school, I definitely would have wanted to be part of their group.
Not Everyone Was a Fan of These Snacks
But unfortunately, their snack adventure was short-lived, because teachers caught them Airfrying in the music room. And they were therefore not very amused. And okay—maybe this isn’t exactly how you’re supposed to serve your punishment, but you can still appreciate the move, right? No, apparently not. An email to the parents was the result and honestly, it might be even funnier than the action itself.
That email ended up on Dumpert and—logically—went completely viral. ‘It turns out that during registration they went to the music room with an Airfryer and fried some snacks there.’ If I were a parent, I’d immediately give my child a high five for this, because any time is a time when you can appreciate a frikandel. ‘The sanction we imposed for being late is not intended for that.’ Honestly, it says quite a lot about the level of the school management that they felt they had to emphasize this to parents once again. As if they had waved their kids off that morning saying, ‘Hey, enjoy the frying today! Have fun!’
