Love it: Tabasco has its own Sriracha sauce

We can’t imagine life without Sriracha. With fries, mixed into hummus, with fish and shrimp, on burgers and fried eggs. So we’re always hugely enthusiastic about every new Sriracha initiative. Especially when it comes from our other hot sauce favorite: Tabasco.

A true East-meets-West sauce, then, because although the American family business used the classic Thai recipe as its basis, the sauce does have an American twist. It is made from aged red jalapeño and barrel-aged Tabasco chili peppers and blended with Thai spices.
How spicy is Tabasco Sriracha?
The result: a thick, sweet and savory sauce. Sweet? Not spicy? Well, it is a little, of course. But with a Scoville rating of 1,000–3,000, it is—apart from green jalapeño Tabasco—the mildest sauce from Tabasco.

What do you eat Tabasco Sriracha with?
Well, we eat it with pretty much everything: curries, noodle dishes, burgers, fries, shellfish, nachos, hummus and even mashed potato dishes. Oh, and did you know it also makes a great sambal substitute? This sauce is truly versatile.
Tabasco® Sriracha sauce is available at supermarkets (€ 3.39).
