Mega success during corona times: Loetje Drive In at 5 locations
Loetje came up with a playful plan to provide its guests with their favorite steak despite corona: Loetje Drive In. But that one location at Loetje aan de Amstel turned out to be such a success that several Loetje Drive Ins are opening today.
Social media went wild when it was announced that Loetje Drive In would be launching. Initially, it was supposed to be a pilot from March 27 to 29, 2020, at Loetje aan de Amstel. But it turned out to be such a success that the steaks sold out in no time. The pilot was extended, but now Loetje Drive is expanding further.
Additional locations
The Loetje restaurants in Laren, Breda, Gorssel and Rotterdam (Kop van Zuid) are also getting a drive-in. These are all locations where it is logistically possible to create a Drive In, partly because of their large parking lots. Most drive-ins are open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Loetje at home
You can now also enjoy the tenderloin steak with the real Loetje gravy at home. One portion costs € 18,95; fries and the famous salad can be ordered separately. And for steak lovers, Bali steak is also on the takeaway menu, with the real Loetje sambal gravy!
Tips & tricks for home
Picked up a steak? Serve it at home on a warm plate. You can do this by heating the (heatproof) plate in a preheated oven (at the lowest setting) for 5 to 10 minutes, or by heating your plate together with a cup of water in the microwave (2 minutes on the highest setting). Finally, you can place your plate in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.
Loetje Drive In is open only to cars and unfortunately not to cyclists, mopeds or pedestrians. You can place your order contact-free, pay by card and take your order away without contact.
