Must-have: the tastiest advent calendars of 2019

We’ve already received quite a few in the editorial office and, honestly, it takes tremendous self-control not to rip open all the little doors already—but that’s also exactly what makes advent calendars so much fun. We’re rounding up the tastiest and most fun ones.

Kinder mix
Of course, there are countless chocolate advent calendars for sale, but they’re often filled with cheap, sickly sweet chocolate. Also sickly sweet, but genuinely delicious, is Kinder chocolate. Kinder Bueno, Kinder Surprise—everything from Kinder is tasty. In this advent calendar you’ll find a whole mix of all the varieties. Go on, try to resist now.
Specialty beer
We wrote about it earlier: this beer calendar from Beerwulf. 24 specialty beers from 24 different brewers. Tip: buy two so you can toast with someone.
Aldi wine
More of a wine person? Aldi has a wine advent calendar packed with rosé, bubbles, red and white wine. Everything makes an appearance in this advent calendar: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet… Oh yes, and one Nosecco—in other words, alcohol-free wine.
My muesli
Admittedly, it’s not December yet, but I’ve already snacked on quite a few muesli bars from this advent calendar. You can also get it filled with muesli cups and different kinds of porridge. Having breakfast (by the tree?) with an advent calendar: the ultimate Christmas feeling.
Cheese
This is what really makes us happy: an advent calendar full of mini cheeses and cheesy jokes. Love it. Add a wine calendar and you couldn’t make us any happier.
Vegan
Of course, the ever-growing group of vegans couldn’t be left out this year. It’s also fun if you’ve made good resolutions, want to eat more plant-based food and would like to get an idea of what you’ll be stuffing into your gob. Hint: think berries, mango, granola and banana chips. You can buy it through Amazon.
Mc Donalds
Last but not least is the annual Mc Donalds gift calendar. No, it’s not a cardboard box with little doors filled with burgers, fries and nuggets, but daily changing offers. What exactly are they? You can read that here.
