New: Make your own Wine Kit from HEMA

The streak HEMA has been on lately is putting us in a very good mood (I’m talking to you, hot dog pack and tompouce donut), and the latest news from the brand is once again perfect for the festive season. That is, if wine is drunk in your circles—and lots of it, because with the Make your own Wine Kit you can conjure up no less than 5 litres of wine!

Blessed be the wine

Master of Wine Cees van Casteren tested the product and subsequently gave it his blessing, and since Masters of Wine are certainly no amateurs (it is the highest title attainable in wine, after all), it seems like a safe bet to us. “Making your own wine is a higher pursuit than drinking it. Wine from your own ‘Château’—who wouldn’t want that?” says van Casteren, who thinks the kit is fantastic. Curious about the whole wine-making process? You don’t even have to leave the house…

Time to unpack

After two weeks, you can put the wine on the table, so putting it in the shoe for Sinterklaas means it will be in the glass by Christmas, or under the Christmas tree for friends and family. Both red and white are available, and a package costs €32.50. Prefer something bubbly? There are also special editions of HEMA’s house cava, with a light at the bottom of the festive bottle.

Fairy lights, crafting, drinks and gifts—if that isn’t a sign that December is coming, we don’t know what is. Cheers!
