Must-have: this ideal wine table for the garden

If you have a garden, you might recognize this: you come outside with your carefully selected snacks, a bottle of wine tucked under your arm and two wine glasses crossed by the stems between your fingers. You put a few things down on the little table in the grass and BAM, the whole lot topples over. So annoyinnnnng! But with this little table, that could be a thing of the past for good…

Because there are few things more enjoyable than having coffee or drinks in the garden, except having coffee or drinks on a terrace—unless you have to pay just for visiting that terrace (excluding drinks), because that’s less fun than sitting in your garden. Anyway, in that garden you want to have something tasty within easy reach, and it would be very nice if it didn’t have to sit on your stylish but wobbly side table with slender legs, which could topple over at any moment on less-than-level ground. The solution: a little table that you simply drill into the ground.

Garden party for two
Just look how handy it is! You stick the point on the bottom into the soil, and then you have a stable shelf with recesses for two wine glasses and a bottle, whose base rests on a support. There’s even room for a small bowl or two, so bring on some tasty olives or sliced sausage, and your drinks spread is complete. An ideal spring pairing? A salty goat’s cheese with a fresh sauvignon blanc. Or a light red wine such as gamay from the Beaujolais region with some French charcuterie. A lovely drink with birds chirping in the background; I’m really looking forward to that… Cheers!
