Never Have Smelly Ice Cubes Again

You make the perfect gin and tonic, take some ice cubes out of the freezer and take a sip of your drink, but then. The drink is wonderfully chilled and at the perfect temperature, but the musty smell coming from your glass is unbearable. These four tips will help you prevent it.

Clean your freezer thoroughly
A freezer is full of food and food scraps. All those smells seep into the ice, so your ice picks up aromas of old meat and bread. Prevent this by cleaning your freezer.
Make fresh ice cubes every week
The older your ice, the greater the chance that it will smell unpleasant. So make a new batch every week.
Use airtight trays
Most ice cube trays are not airtight. As a result, smells easily seep into them. So choose airtight trays.
This is how to store food properly
Or buy new trays
Silicone trays may seem convenient and look fun, but the material is extremely absorbent. Stainless steel is recommended, although it is less convenient to use, such as this one.
