HEMA and XXL Nutrition have launched new limited-edition protein bars today. And protein bars with sprinkles and pistachio flavor? Yes please!
After going viral, now even more flavors
Last year, the first collaboration between HEMA and XXL Nutrition flew off the shelves. Flavors such as tompouce and stroopwafel sold out in no time, partly thanks to TikTok hype and fans filling their cupboards with them. This year, they’re continuing with two new flavors: pistachio ice cream and sprinkles. Yes, sprinkles. With crunch. We already knew them from the carnival hit about a frikandel—the so-called ‘discodel’—but this version is for working out.
20 grams of protein, zero guilt
These snacks contain no less than 20 grams of protein each. Ideal for athletes, busy people who forget their lunch yet again, or anyone who likes having an excuse to eat something sweet “because it’s good for you”.

According to René van der Zel, founder of XXL Nutrition, it was a no-brainer. The classic HEMA flavors are ideal for protein bars. Sweet sells. And with familiar flavors such as tompouce and stroopwafel, we can really tempt people to choose protein-rich options more often, René says.
