New hit: the ‘Chocolate Afternoon Tea’
As a topping on a pizza, in a cocktail or a boozy bar: give us chocolate and we’re in heaven. For all the chocoholics among us, the new edition of the famous Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Amsterdam is a real must. Because this edition is all about… chocolate!
Special edition
The Chocolate Afternoon Tea, created by chef Sidney Schutte and pastry chef Vipin Charly, will be one of the most special Afternoon Teas yet. “For this edition, we wanted to do something different in terms of appearance and surprise our guests. The flavour sensations are of course still central, but the carousel looks more robust and bolder than before,” says Sidney.
Chocolate and whisky
The Chocolate Afternoon Tea will consist of various sweet as well as savoury treats made with and featuring chocolate. For those who want to make this luxurious afternoon even more luxurious, this time there is also the option of drinking the three exclusive whiskies Woodford Reserve, Jura 12yo and Dalmore 12yo with the chocolate. Highly recommended! The soft flavour of chocolate pairs perfectly with the whiskies. Not a whisky fan? Bartender Maric has also designed a number of special cocktails to match the chocolate bites.
The Chocolate Afternoon Tea is served from Friday 2 October to 7 December on Fridays from 15:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 13:00 to 17:00 in the iconic Peacock Alley. You can make a reservation here.
