OH YES: Lidl is now selling the most delicious lemon and orange ice cream
It’s Spanish and Portuguese specialties week at Lidl again, and the shelves are packed with patatas bravas, Catalan sausages, a paella kit to make the most delicious paella at home, calamares and tortilla. And of course, there’s no shortage of sweets. From Portuguese pastéis de nata to refreshing lemon and orange ice cream. And how nostalgic is this last one: lemon ice cream in a lemon!
Lidl lemon ice cream
When I saw this lemon ice cream in the freezer at Lidl, my heart skipped a beat. It took me straight back to my childhood. More specifically: to the restaurants of my childhood, because this was my sister’s and my favorite dessert. A frozen lemon filled with lemon ice cream; a treat every time. So you can imagine: I immediately took a few boxes home. One for me and one for my sister.
Orange ice cream
There’s also a version with orange ice cream for sale, by the way. Typically Spanish? Perhaps, because when we think of oranges, we automatically think of Valencia. Each package contains two ice creams, and you pay €3.49 for a box of lemon or orange ice cream.
