This playful, spicy pasta is based on our favorite spicy cocktail: the Bloody Mary. It’s the perfect balance of spice, sweetness and MMM!
How to make pasta with Bloody Mary sauce
- Cook the spaghetti al dente in 8 minutes in a large pan of salted, boiling water.
- Drain, reserve 125 ml of the cooking water, and set aside.
- Return the pan to high heat. Pour in 2 tablespoons of oil, add the tomatoes and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes, until the tomato skins start to color.
- Lower the heat slightly. Fry the chili and garlic for 1–2 minutes.
- Stir in the vodka, reserved cooking water, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, the remaining oil, and salt and pepper.
- Return the pasta to the pan and toss for 1 minute until heated through.
- Serve the pasta with celery leaves and Parmesan.
Tip: Just like with your favorite cocktail, you can adjust the amount of Tabasco to taste here too.
