People are absolutely raving about these IKEA fridge storage bins

Hallelujah, the sun is shining! And I don’t just want to open a bottle of wine immediately—I also want to tidy up. Yep, I’m feeling the spring-cleaning urge big time. Especially now that I’ve seen these fan-tas-tic storage bins for the fridge. Of course, they’re from IKEA.

I’m not the only one waking up from a kind of hibernation. My fridge is too. Whenever I do my spring cleaning in the fridge, the most bizarre things emerge. A mini container of mashed-potato stew that’s been rotting away in a corner for who-knows-how-long. A few stray Brussels sprouts in the vegetable drawer. Kale leaves stuck to the back of the fridge (?!). It’s one big mess, I’ll freely admit it. But this year, that’s coming to an end. These fridge storage bins are one of the best finds of the year. They’re going straight to the top of the list of favorite IKEA kitchen gadgets, I can tell you that much.
Klippkaktus
What am I talking about? The Klippkaktus collection from IKEA. They’re ‘hard-wearing, stackable’ bins that you can snap shut with a lid. That keeps all the food you store in them fresh. No more loose odds and ends in the fridge—just neatly stacked bins. How great is that? The bins are transparent, so you can see exactly what’s inside. You can stick a label on one if you’re unsure whether it contains pasta Bolognese or pasta with ragù (there’s a difference!). Or if you want to know the date you filled the container. Pretty handy too.
The individual bins are already wonderfully practical. But what’s even better is that there’s a Klippkaktus bin with suction cups attached. You can secure it underneath the shelves in your fridge. Slide open the bin’s drawer and you can easily reach your food. That way, you make optimal use of the space in your fridge. IKEA, I don’t know how you do it, but you manage to hit the nail on the head every time. I didn’t know I needed this, and now I want 10 of these bins.

Nicely affordable
The best news? The bins cost next to nothing. Perhaps not a surprise—we are talking about IKEA—but it’s still nice to mention. They come in different sizes. The smallest costs €2.99, the medium one €3.99 and the largest €4.99. The one with suction cups also costs €4.99. That’s nothing for an organized fridge (and therefore an organized mind).
