Pringles limited-edition Doner Kebab drives everyone crazy
Pringles, one of those chip cans that can be used for some very special purposes, has driven part of the world’s population completely wild by releasing a temporary European Championship edition, only to make it disappear again and leave people wailing in despair. And that new flavor, say diehard fans, MUST come back…
The chip-eating population seems divided into two camps: those who prefer their chips as basic as possible, and those for whom things can never be crazy enough. Our own Patatje Joppiechips seem to me to be irrefutable proof of the latter. And for everyone who occasionally demolishes a certain late-night guilty pleasure but also likes getting their hand stuck inside a tube while searching for those last few Pringles, there was this highly exclusive Limited Edition: Doner Kebab!
Ghostly appearance
It was like a phantom: one that arrived quietly, brought joy to English fans, and disappeared. And Pringles didn’t just pull this trick with the Doner Kebab flavor, no, they even came up with two-thirds of a hat-trick! Just as silently, they flooded the football-and-chips fan market with a second Limited Edition flavor: Pulled Pork Burger, only to make that one disappear from the shelves like a thief in the night too, once again leaving a whole lot of poor souls utterly helpless.

Stand up and protest
So what do you do when you’ve been so thoroughly teased and are left empty-handed once again? Follow Snackspert’s example with the McRib and start a petition! Say that you too, as a Dutch Pringles fan, are longing for exactly those flavors they dangled like a carrot in front of countless followers, throw in a few words like ‘unfair’ and ‘biggest fanbase’, and who knows…
Even better because the real thing
But until then, you’ll have to make do with the next best thing. And if you ask us, that’s immediately the next much better thing! Make loaded fries with pulled pork by BBQ king Jord Althuizen, or immediately get the best kebab sandwich you can find nearby. Bet you’ll get over that Pringles disappointment in no time?!
