Put This Top Event at De Librije in Huge Letters in Your Calendar [UPDATED]

After the fourteen-month-from-hell period during which we successfully ate and drank our way through the hospitality industry, thankfully there’s another real live event coming up that you, as a true foodie, will probably be dying to attend (alongside our own mega-festive FavorFlav Cheese Festival, of course)! None other than ‘the Boers’ will soon be rolling out the Chefs (R)Evolution event with a number of leading partners—and the announcement alone is enough to make your mouth water…

Because a whole array of absolute world-class chefs will be passing through here over the course of two days. And besides extremely fine dining, you’ll also find a BOERenmarkt XL, a wine-and-food pairing palace, cooking competitions and exceptional wine workshops. In short: a party!

Chefs (R)Evolution

This is the fifth (so, an anniversary!) edition of Chefs (R)Evolution, taking place on September 12 and 13, 2021, in and around De Librije and De Spiegel theatre in Zwolle. Last year, the festivities couldn’t go ahead because of September-from-hell, but this year they’re back with a bang. Together with partners including Port Culinair, Alliance Gastronomique and Dutch Cuisine, our national culinary power couple, Jonnie and Thérèse Boer, are putting together two unforgettable days.

Chef of the famous Eleven Madison Park

The line-up of a large number of the world’s very best chefs includes Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park—the man who recently caused a revolution by announcing that he would be cooking exclusively vegan at this New York star restaurant. Alongside interactive cooking demonstrations, there will be special wine tastings, unique cooking competitions for which you can be selected after registering in advance, and the opportunity to attend the event online if you can’t make it in person. Not to be missed!

For more information, click the Chefs (R)Evolution ticket link; if you leave your email address, you’ll be kept informed when ticket sales begin. Tickets cost €79 per person, the market costs an additional €12.50, and if you want to experience it online, that’s possible for €24.95. It’s bound to be fantastic; hopefully we’ll see you there!

Update July 9, 2021: Oh guys, how incredibly sad… As hopeful as this article was; it wasn’t meant to be. This 2021 edition has unfortunately been canceled because the covid measures that are still in force or have been renewed make it impossible to organize the event to the high standard the organizers are aiming for. Check http://www.chefsrevolution.com for current information, and let’s keep our fingers firmly crossed for a spectacular anniversary edition in 2022!
