Recipe: how to make butter from brie

Things that can make me very happy: good bread. And when you have such a delicious piece of bread, the last thing you want to do is pile it high with toppings… A small layer of butter is enough. And you can also do anything with butter: whip it, or try making cannabis butter, for example. My new favorite: butter made from brie.

This recipe means war with pretty much all the French. Because how dare we mix butter with brie? But we like to be liberal in the kitchen and have the nerve to tweak brie into a divine spread. Nous sommes désolés…
Brie butter: ready in just a few steps
You only need two ingredients (salted butter and brie) and a blender, so it hardly gets simpler than this. You can play around with the proportions a little: if you like a cheesy flavor, start with a little butter; if you want a creamier flavor, add more butter; keep blending and tasting until you reach the desired amount and flavor.
1. Cut the rind off the brie (camembert works too) and cut the rindless cheese into cubes.
2. Cut a few cubes of salted butter.
3. Put the cubes of brie and the cubes of salted butter in a blender until fully combined. Want it creamier? Add a few more cubes of butter.
Very simple and quick, so guaranteed to be a hit with your guests. Enjoy!
