Fudge is nothing less than caramel with whipped cream and butter. The cream and butter make the caramel soft, so you don’t have to worry about breaking your teeth. But instead of using caramel, whipped cream and butter, you can also, as in this recipe, use a can of condensed milk and make fudge very easily.

How to make Flügel Fudge

  • Line a baking tin/oven dish of approximately 16×24 cm with baking paper.
  • Put the chocolate and condensed milk in a saucepan. Melt the white chocolate over low heat, stirring until you have a smooth mixture.
  • When it has melted completely, add the Flügel. Stir firmly with a whisk until well combined.
  • Optionally add extra food coloring.
  • Pour half into an oven dish and add decorations if desired.
  • Pour the second half over it and, if you’re in a particularly cheerful mood (say, how many Flügels have you had already?), add even more decorations.
  • Allow the Flügel Fudge to cool and set. First leave it on the counter for an hour, then move it (covered) to the refrigerator. After approximately 3 hours, the Flügel Fudge will be firm enough to cut into squares.
