Sergio Herman keeps going strong and is opening another establishment in Antwerp

Good news! At least if you love Sergio Herman’s culinary excellence and, like us, can’t get enough of visiting Antwerp. Because there, next to his latest Antwerp success Le Pristine (which earned a Michelin star just one year after opening), another venture from the mega-talented chef will soon be opening.

Also fantastic news: just like at his food bar Blueness in Cadzand, Zeeland, the menu will be Asian-inspired. It won’t be a 1-to-1 copy, but the new Antwerp version of Blueness will undoubtedly be a wonderful place to spend time too!

Stylish setting

The location is top-notch, at least: the restaurant will be housed in the premises of the exclusive fashion store Verso, which currently houses Verso Café. Herman has once again teamed up with the Dheedene family, the owners of Verso. There was already a strong connection between the fashion store and Le Pristine (which is located right next to Verso); the new Blueness will now actually be located in the same building.

Place to be

Verso Café already served lunch during the store’s opening hours, but these plans also open the doors to what will hopefully be a successful evening concept. It is expected to be a major asset to the neighborhood, as the five-star hotel Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp is also opening its doors in this fashion district this year, in a beautifully renovated old monastery.

Budget Sergio

You may still need to save up for a visit to Sergio’s new establishment in Antwerp. But if those prices are a little too steep for you, you can always eat star-worthy fries at one of the branches of his Frites Atelier, or visit the temporary mussel restaurant Moules Frites he currently runs with chef Syrco Bakker in Zeebrugge. Either way, you can always get your fix of Herman!
