Sergio Herman’s New Restaurant Is Opening (and We’re Happy)
Time to celebrate, because star chef Sergio Herman’s new restaurant in Antwerp is opening in mid-July. Want to reserve a table? You can do so starting tomorrow (June 23, 2020)!
Le Pristine is the name of Sergio Herman’s new establishment; the restaurant and bar are located in Antwerp. The chef actually wanted to open back in April, but, well, coronavirus, right? Now that the restrictions are easing somewhat, he plans to open the doors in mid-July. Good news, because the online reservation system opens on Tuesday morning at 08:00.
Personal connection with the table linens
The menu will feature a mix of Zeeland ingredients and international preparations. The interior was designed by two Danish designers, and Sergio was involved in every aspect of the decor, from the Belgian linen to the furniture design by Dutch designers he is friends with: ‘I have a personal connection with every aspect of the restaurant,’ Sergio tells Misset Horeca.
Busy, busy, busy
Sergio probably doesn’t have much free time. In addition to launching Le Pristine, he is also responsible for the haute friture at Frites Atelier, he is the figurehead of The Jane in Antwerp, and he has plans for a restaurant near Cadzand.

You can reserve a table online in the restaurant or on the patio, for a menu featuring Zeeland terroir and Italian flair. Missed out?
