So delicious: snack inspectors wanted who love deep-fried snacks

If we can help you find your dream job, we will. We previously told you that you could earn money by tasting donuts and cheese, and now there’s another dream job to add to the list. This time, it’s specially for snack lovers. The Dutch Frying Center is looking for new snack inspectors!

Know your fry
Just like in the hospitality industry, work at the Dutch Frying Center came to a standstill for a while because of the coronavirus crisis. Snack inspectors stayed at home and mystery visits did not go ahead. Things are now getting back up and running, and demand for the well-known ‘Properly Fried’ label, for craftsmanship, safety and responsibility, and ‘Gold Awarded’, for homemade products and certificates, is quickly increasing. Due to the many applications, there is now a backlog, the Association of Professional Fryers tells Snackkoerier—and new experts in the world of fried food are more than welcome.
Get paid to taste snacks
What does a job as a snack inspector involve? As a snack inspector, you visit various cafeterias, snack bars and other frying establishments to assess their frikandellen, croquettes, cheese soufflés (and much more!). You receive a €25 allowance that you can use to order whatever you feel like. Once you have finished tasting, you write an online review and are €25 richer. Getting paid to taste snacks—isn’t that fantastic!?
How to land that dream job
To become a snack inspector, being a true fried-food fanatic is, of course, a must. You must also have knowledge of or work in the frying industry and be 18 or older. Would you like to land this dream job? Apply here.
