So this is how you’re supposed to tackle one of those ketchup packets!

Do you also get nervous every time you have to open one of those foil ketchup packets? Or mayo—just as nerve-racking. The only one I can still manage without getting the whole lot all over myself is the paper mustard packet you get with a croquette sandwich or a HEMA sausage, because it’s made of paper. But those sturdy other packets, brrr. No, then take a look at this woman:

She simply dares to—extra bonus points for the cheerful watermelon nails—tear the whole thing open lengthwise with one rrrip! What a hero. The ketchup would definitely have ended up between my shoelaces by now, but she also shows that this gives you an ideal ‘bowl’ for dipping your fries.
Never go without again
Admit it: this is much more convenient than randomly squirting all the ketchup straight onto your portion of fries through a corner you struggled to tear open, leaving you with too much sauce on some of the fries and none left for the last ones. (This is also why I hate paper cones.)
Dip in peace
So if you’re truly cool as a cucumber, you simply tear the entire packet open lengthwise and then settle in with your portion of fries. Because, well, you no longer have a hand free to hold the little bowl, so you need to be able to put it down or wedge it somewhere (you know you’ve tried this in the car). So: take a deep breath, and go for it with that portion packet!
