Star chef Soenil Bahadoer’s wife in The Real Housewives van het Zuiden
Star chef Soenil Bahadoer, known for his recently closed restaurant De Lindehof** and Spicy Chef food truck, is now seen from a different perspective. Namely, through the eyes of his wife Annu. She appears in the new reality series The Real Housewives van het Zuiden. And according to Annu, things are going to get exciting. ‘Trust me…. Drama is coming!!’ Yes, and of course we’re dying to know what kind of drama. Is life as the wife of a star chef really as glamorous as you think?
Annu is one of eight wealthy friends from the south of our country—for restaurant De Lindehof, you have to travel to Nuenen—who are closely followed for the series. The women all have different backgrounds, ranging from a Michelin-starred restaurant to a brothel and from a construction company to the largest bridal fashion store in the world. But they do have one thing in common, namely their considerable wealth.
Soenil is everywhere
Yes, it is possible to become rich with a restaurant. Well, provided you do all sorts of things on the side. And that is exactly what Soenil does. From sandwiches at Shell to his own product line at Albert Heijn and Mother’s Day boxes at Jumbo. Will we see what role Annu plays in all this? Is she the driving force behind his success? Does she live a dream life filled with culinary delights and exclusive events? Or will we get a truly realistic picture of what life as the wife of a star chef entails?
Living with a star chef
Having a star chef at home does not necessarily mean that Michelin-starred dishes are always served at the table. Soenil previously told us that McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish, with ravigote sauce, is his guilty pleasure. And that he secretly eats raw canned frankfurters. And frikadel speciaal. No, at the Bahadoer household, there certainly isn’t caviar on the table every day. Then there are the irregular and long working hours. The constant pressure to perform and retain the Michelin stars. Holidays and days off are often scarce. Stress is constantly lurking. Because reaching the top is considerably harder than staying there.
