You can now buy two-Michelin-star chef Soenil Bahadoer’s snacks at Shell
During the coronavirus pandemic, star chef Soenil Bahadoer drove around the Netherlands with his Spicy Chef food truck to serve the very best Surinamese street food. It proved to be a huge success, and as a result, Shell petrol stations are now (temporarily) selling various specialties by Soenil.
Two-Michelin-star chef Soenil Bahadoer of restaurant De Lindehof** is known for his incredible dishes featuring Surinamese and Indian ingredients that come together in the ultimate flavor combination. He makes the best baras in the country, and his sandwiches are awesome too. He is also no stranger to commercial collaborations, which is why we have already bought his Soenil dinner boxes at Jumbo, and we are also happy to buy his By Soenil range at Albert Heijn. Soenil has now joined forces with Shell.
Soenil’s bara kip and roti
Every quarter, Shell introduces a new themed range, and this quarter the focus is on Surinamese and Indian cuisine. The specials developed by Soenil, bara kip and roti, are available from today at all Shell stations with a bakery in the Netherlands. The bara kip is available in the bakery, while the roti can be found in the fresh-food section.
Soenil on tour
Soenil Bahadoer will also be touring the country again with his food truck. On Thursday, April 20, you can taste his bara kip for free (while supplies last) at Shell station Haarrijn on the A2 (from 11:00 to 12:30) or Shell station de Andel on the A12 (from 13:00 to 14:30).
